Believing God’s promises and the KJB is not idolatry. (Maybe “only-original-language” is, eh?)

July 9, 2013

I’m sharing my answer from another forum to this accusation:

You have made your KJB the most important article of faith. Again, I see this as very nearly bibliolatry. Very nice of you to affirm my observation.

—-
KJB believers’ foundation is the belief in the promises of God‘s word. That is what brings them to the KJBO position. This is something that has been repeated to modern version apologists over and over again, and they never seem to get past this lie that KJB believers woke up one day and just decided to reject all the other versions and worship that (whatever “that” is) instead of God. The truth is the opposite.

But try the phrase “original-language-idolatry”. A fantasy, a vain imagination, a theoretical construct. A belief that God did NOT provide for the preservation of every jot and tittle of his word in a manner consistent with clarity and that does not allow for confusion. Belief in his promises about his Word is better than trusting scribes and Pharisees. Call the KJB translators scribes if you want, just like your corrupted versions –any divergence from God’s best is corruption– but we do NOT trust in them.

You have NO BIBLICAL REASON AT ALL, just a tradition of man, to say that God did NOT preserve every jot and tittle of meaning “till all be fulfilled”. At least it’s not a wood and chaff idol. Oh wait! Nestle-Aland? Westcott Hort? Which “original language text” is YOUR idol?

In Honduras (even here) sometimes you buy honey that’s been cut with molasses. My wife can tell the difference. How can you, if you don’t know what honey really is?

God told us his words were sweeter than honey.

The God of the Bible said –and says– he would preserve his Word, not one jot or tittle would fall to the ground till all be fulfilled, and he is not the author of confusion. How can he teach “line upon line” if one line is over here (with a footnote) and the next one is over there?

Not even the most brilliant professors of theology can be sure of what something really says, according to their own doctrine!

And make no mistake. KJBO advocates do NOT NOT NOT rest their case upon an isolated faith in this particular text. It is the doctrine that believes God’s own word about preserving his Word, his own promise to preserve every jot and tittle, every bit of meaning, and he is not the “author” of confusion.

I you can’t have full conviction in a piece of God’s word, then it’s true that James 1:8 could apply, because if the foundation be shaken, who shall stand?

March 27, 1977, The biggest aviation disaster in history –to this day– took place in Tenerife, on the ground. Two aircraft slammed into each other. Some of you remember it. The fog killed visibility. 538 people died and there were more who were wounded.

I remember the reports from back then that mentioned a man who “miraculously” was completely unhurt. They didn’t mention him very much after the first couple of days and I found out why when I heard that man’s testimony.

Once upon a time I found an audio of his testimony. He took the trip instead of his business partner who had a late-minute matter come up. When the two planes hit, he said the passengers saw fire coming from the front of the plane, and people started screaming who saw the flames moving toward them.

He of course had his Bible with him. He stood straight up, all 300 pounds or so, and started waving his Bible in the air. “I’m standing on the Word! I’m standing on the Word! I’m standing on the Word!”

That’s his last memory from inside the plane, and he “blacked out”. He said he doesn’t know how, but the next thing he knew he was sitting on the top of this aircraft, to the side of a really big hole in the top of the plane –big enough for him to fit through– that was somehow directly above where his seat was.

They helped him down from there, but it is a testimony to someone who had faith in what God had promised, when it mattered. I cannot say I have “that much” faith in God’s promises, God’s word, but at least I do have faith that I can know exactly what he said, in terms that can be understood today. As he promised.

Isaiah 28:9 Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts.

This is a deserving ministry.

The Devil has spread a flood of lies in all the world against the truth, and he’s using the most respected book of Christians to do it to Christians too.

But the truth will prevail, and the Gates of Hell will not stand against the truth.

KJBO-Deniers Have Affirmative Positions They Have to Defend Too

February 19, 2012

KJBO advocates do have affirmative positions, but so do the deniers.

One thing KJB critics always say is that the KJBO position is against scripture.

But they never give a scripture to support this claim.
But KJB defenders have an abundance of scripture to support the idea that God would have arranged for just ONE “version” of his word at any time, but above all for OUR times, since we are obviously living in the times of world history that occupy of in as much as half of Biblical prophecy. And prophecy is half to two-thirds of the whole Bible.

But the anti-KJBO deniers do not have even ONE scripture to back the two parts, implicit and explicit, that comprise their position.

#1, They deny that there is any one standard that stands above all the rest in a way that is independent of personal opinion.

#2. If there is any perfect standard criteria, the KJBO does not fit it.

To deny KJBO based on #2, they have to assume that there are principles by which we may determine that a version is wrong or right, or better or worse in some passage than another “version”.

What’s amazingly informative to me in all these discussions is that once anyone decides that God would want to have one standard bearer of his Word, and not a confusion of voices, it doesn’t take long for them to land with both feet on the KJB.

I’m sorry but saying there’s no evidence that the Bible is “special” as in based in truth is one of the stupidest lies that the government-media complex indoctrination machine has ever “taught” us. It is one of the most criminally negligent sin of omission in that “schooling”.

Archaeologists have dug up tens of thousands of pieces of evidence that testify to the total history accuracy of Biblical scripture. They have to look very very hard to find any historian who even expresses doubt historical names, places. And some who set about to disprove the Bible became believers in Jesus Christ, the only basis of “religious” faith today that is based on historical fact.

Many infallible proofs of the Bible

October 2, 2011

To those who claim that faith in the Bible is based on pure whim, as somebody who was won to belief in the Bible from atheism and radical socialism through pure history, science, facts, sifted through Boolean logic, I must strongly protest with Paul that our faith in Jesus Christ is based on “MANY INFALLIBLE PROOFS”. Once I got there, in my forty years hence, the evidence just keeps piling up. Some do come to Jesus because they were simply raised in a strong household, others for other reasons, but making their decision at some point.

But all believers are well served by the fact that Jesus doesn’t even really expect us to have a “blind” faith. The Darwinists and materialists are the ones with a “blind faith” in nature to create everything. In an interesting humorous joke by God, the famous atheist proselytizer Richard Dawkins even said so in the very title to his book “The Blind Watchmaker”. God makes even the wrath of man to praise him.

In fact, we are commanded to have an answer for those who ask us such questions.

1 Peter 3:15 But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:

Acts 1:3 To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God:

We “have not seen” the Lord Jesus with our eyes like Thomas did even before putting his hand through the wound, but we have an embarrassment of evidence today. The lightning-fast pace at which the gospel expanded across the Roman Empire from Jerusalem after the Resurrection, the written eyewitness testimony of the apostles that has more strenght than an affidavit, signed in their own blood, martyred for the gospel, including Thomas “the doubter”.

And today thousands of Creation scientists bear witness to the fact that “the heavens declare the glory of God, and the firmament showeth his handiwork”. Biology bears witness too, with every major advance exposing the folly of the pagan Darwinian doctrine of spontaneous biogenesis, including fossils, DNA, epigenetics, and irreducible molecular machines.

King James Bible translators: Inspired or not? What about marginal notes?

October 2, 2011

The King James Bible translators don’t have to know they are inspired. King David didn’t stop and think about his famous words to Goliath, they just poured out. In fact, if they had been of such a mindset they might have been tempted to replace the unknown Hebrew word “behemoth” into a best prayerful guess from what they know instead of using a transliteration like they did. Modern translators make a pure guess especially the Creation-doubters.

What, you don’t think God can inspire a translation like the Hebrew and Aramaic translations in the Tanukh of conversations in Egyptian, Babylonian and Persian and Latin tongues?  Is God’s tongue cut off to leave us without a standard, without the  “original autographs” of all 66 books, and let us depend on man’s faulty wisdom?

The rebuttal from advocates of a confusion of translations is that believers in the KJB as God’s choice today do NOT trust the translators of the time any more than we trust the prophets of old. We just know that according to God’s own word, his word is the most important thing because it’s the standard by which all truth and doctrine is measured, and he would not leave us dependent on Harvard Divinity grads and the like for even its wording.

Entropy, Adam and Eve, Seth’s sisters, genetics and in-breeding

October 2, 2011

n-breeding was not a problem for the sons and daughters of Adam and Eve. From the Law of Entropy and the knowledge that today all species incorporate some “genetic defects” within, products of mutation, and from the knowledge that Adam and Eve were “very good” creations, perfect in fact, directly fashioned by God, inbreeding was not a problem for the first generations, neither for the grandchildren of Noah.

Besides which, the genome is built by God with mechanisms for adaptation to changing conditions, including great numbers of “spare parts” –which used to be called “junk DNA” by the clueless arrogant smarter-than-thou Darwinian pagans.
That’s right, many superstitious tribes of Old Testament times also believed of a stock “Thou art my father”, and of a stone, “Thou hast brought me forth”.
Read Jeremiah 2:27, it’s right there.

Death by Spontaneous Combustion

September 24, 2011

ews – ‘First Irish case’ of death by spontaneous combustion:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-15032614

A man who burned to death in his home died as a result of spontaneous combustion, an Irish coroner has ruled.

West Galway coroner Dr Ciaran McLoughlin said it was the first time in 25 years of investigating deaths that he had recorded such a verdict.

After describing some of the details of how the ruling came about, they include comments from a university pathologist:

Retired professor of pathology Mike Green said he had examined one suspected case in his career.

He said he would not use the term spontaneous combustion, as there had to be some source of ignition, possibly a lit match or cigarette.

“There is a source of ignition somewhere, but because the body is so badly destroyed the source can’t be found,” he said.

He said the circumstances in the Galway case were very similar to other possible cases.

“This is the picture which is described time and time again,” he said.

“Even the most experienced rescue worker or forensic scientist takes a sharp intake of breath (when they come across the scene).”

Mr Green said he doubted explanations centred on divine intervention.

“I think if the heavens were striking in cases of spontaneous combustion then there would be a lot more cases. I go for the practical, the mundane explanation,” he said.

Well,  so he says, but then maybe it’s a good thing for him that God is not so judgmental… I don’t necesesarily believe that all these cases are God’s judgments, but then nobody can know the mind of God, now can we?

He’s partially right though. Like it says,

Lamentations 3:22  It is of th LORD’S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.

…and to add another thought…

Luke 13:4  Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them, think ye that they were sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem?
5  I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.

“American Atheists” makes a hate religion of itself: The Religion of Intolerance of Speech

September 18, 2011

There’s a blog over at the american atheists web site with more of the same tired old lies. [Note: I chose not to place the link here to avoid adding to their stats, but I don’t mind if the reader finds it to see how much it lies about “fundamentalist Christians”, with its hate and vitriol.

The guy that wrote it obviously does not care what the truth is: That every possible Christian radio program, every Christian radio station throughout the country and even the world, has condemned in very clear language the behavior of the groups he mentioned and their approach to what they do. Nor does he clarify that their pitifully few handful of followers has NOT grown..

Remember: The worst oppressors and the worst mass killers of all the history of mankind were atheist tyrants and regimes whose OFFICIAL RELIGION was atheism: Lenin, Stalin, Mao Tse Tung, Pol Pot, Mugabe.. And the Christian-hating God-hating Adolf Hitler with his hybrid of atheism plus occult paganism.

It’s true that ungodliness, a lack of love for your neighbor, disregarding God’s laws of love, have brought down every empire and every nation that engaged in oppression, including the Inquisition that itself BANNED THE BIBLE and fought all early attempts to get it into the vernacular of the people.

But when you try to pretend that the people who throw babies in the pond are the same as the people who try to save them from the pond you are showing yourself to be cut from the same cloth as the murderous dictator of North Korea.

Note the contrast between that mass murderer Kim Jong Il and this work of love of Christians who are working to help North Koreans both inside and outside North Korea:

Helping Hands Korea:
http://www.helpinghandskorea.org/

South Korea is a very heavily Christian society today. Ask any Korean that is able to talk freely to you where he prefers to live, where he –OR SHE!– prefers to live, where do they feel more free?

Ask the millions trying to flee North Korea even to China! Ask the Christian North Koreans who go back to North Korea and even give their lives in the effort to offer their fellow compatriots the freedom that the brutal ATHEIST ATHEIST ATHEIST rulers CANNOT STOP!

Even with cultural moles spouting Marxist talking points about religion, or Lenin’s useful idiots that swallow this deceit whole.

John 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
John 8:36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

Socialist anti-Christian Jim Jones and Historical revisionism

July 9, 2011

“How about the guy in Waco? And Jim Jones and all the other xtian loonies….”

I LOVE the opportunity to correct the record because it so much exposes the control-freak central-dictate nature of the anti-cult hysteria and the lies in Absalom Media.

The dangerous ones in Waco are exposed to be the mad-dog predator jack-booted thugs ordered to murder them by DC’s trophy Lesbian Janet Reno. That’s a whole subject by itself.

But to the subect of the “cults” and the hysterical hand-wringing over them (reminds you of 1930s Germany)….

My Dad the Pentecostal pastor protested to me on the subject about the audio he heard they played in the news of David Korresh saying “I’m God!”

They did not play the context. I heard the audio quote with context myself. What he said in that snippet in context was “Some of these people think I’m God. But I’m NOT!”

Jim Jones was everything else but not Christian. That’s why the leftist anti-Christian loonies in San Francisco loved him so much.

Absalom Media constantly repeated the fact that the camp in Jonestown had propaganda blaring on loudspeakers 24/7. What they hid from you was that those recordings were READINGS FROM KARL MARX.

Did you watch the video they made of themselves drinking the poison? One young black mother said “I’m glad to have this opportunity to sacrifice myself for the cause of SOCIALISM”. (My emphasis)

For the rich men thereof are full of violence, and the inhabitants thereof have spoken lies, and their tongue is deceitful in their mouth
