Babies, children, and salvation

February 2, 2020

Babies are innocent until they are not. At some point in their life they come to understand the difference between right and wrong. The clearest marker for “accountability is when someone shares the Gospel of Salvation with them and they accept or reject Christ. Between the time they learn right and wrong, until they hear the explicit Gospel, that time is not crystal clear to me, and I don’t think anybody can make up a “one size fits all” rule to determine it.

Mostly because of two other passages. There is that time Jesus said of the Pharisees that if he had not “come and spoken unto them, they had not sin”. But because he did, “therefore they have no cloak for their sin”.

Another passage, in Paul’s writings, tells how some who have never heard “the law” nonetheless do the things that are in the Law. These things may apply to children during a period of their lives.

ICR: Plant’s Odor Sensing System Demonstrates Engineered Adaptability

September 27, 2017

From the ICR web site:

Recent studies describing sophisticated plant traits, and some of the insects that feed on those plants, highlight once again how biology may be interpreted very differently. But usually, these interpretations are largely dependent on a researcher’s preexisting beliefs about the origins of living things.

A postdoctoral fellow in entomology at Pennsylvania State University, Anjel Helms, and other researchers identified the specific chemical compound emitted by the male goldenrod gall fly (Eurosta solidaginis) that can be detected by goldenrod plants (Solidago altissima).1 To attract female goldenrod gall flies, males emit large amounts of a volatile compound that is primarily a blend of three chemicals. After mating, females lay eggs within the stems of goldenrods that the developing fly larvae eat when they hatch. Infected goldenrod plants subsequently get devoured and produce smaller and fewer seeds, possibly as a result of diverting some of their resources to trap the hungry fly larvae with a protective gall.

Helm’s meticulous research pinpoints a strikingly close relationship between a plant and an insect, but it doesn’t identify by observation and experimentation how that relationship originated. He falls back on his naturalistic beliefs to frame his observations, interpret facts, and guide his future research.

End Times, Second Coming, and the Truth

April 28, 2017

The “rapture” is not a sudden unexpected one for those who are in light:
1 Thessalonians (13) But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that day should overtake you as a thief. (14) Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.

Paul said –obviously for believers in HIS day– that the end times and Second Coming was NOT immanent, but that the Beast (aka Antichrist) would be revealed FIRST:
2 Thessalonians 2:2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.
:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

It is a Satanic lie that “every generation” thought they were in the end times. Isaac Newton said he thought it wouldn’t be until the 24th century or later. Also, if you check Bible commentaries and writings of most Christian theologians in the 19th century and even leading up to World War II, you’ll find that Christians were saying the end times could not happen until after Israel would be first restored as a nation-state.

Only a lawyer would wait till he’s out of ear shot to laugh at that one, and only a liar or a deceiver of one’s self could believe it.
The destruction of the temple in 70 AD is God’s affidavit that the end times prophecies in Matthew 24 were of God, the predictions that follow that one. It’s a watermark.

Most of the Old Testament prophecies about the Messiah and the End Times, you’ll observe, are in the Bible because certain prophecies they uttered came to pass while they were still alive.

Like Moses and the plagues confirm his prediction of the taking of the evil lands of Canaanites and the prophecy about a later “Great Prophet”.
Jeremiah’s ending chapters are confirmed in the Babylonian conquest of Jerusalem.

And so on. When the temple was destroyed in the exact manner Jesus said, the rest of the chapter is to be taken equally “literally”, or in a straightforward reading. Meaning, ye would “hear of” earthquakes, famines, pestilences, but hold on, that does NOT mean it’s the end times, rather, the end “is NOT yet” [my emphasis].

But it is always the time to repent, to ask the Lord Jesus Christ to come into your heart, cleanse you from all righteousness, and accept his gift of eternal life, paid for on the cross and signed by the Creator of life, death and the universe with the Resurrection.

Keep the Sabbath, or Keep the Faith

February 14, 2017

Bring no more vain oblations; incense is an abomination unto me; the new moons and sabbaths, the calling of assemblies, I cannot away with; it is iniquity, even the solemn meeting.–Isaiah 1:13.

Condemning the doing of good on the Sabbath is what Jesus condemned even stronger that whatever deeds were done by the “Be merciful to me” sinner at the altar, or the prostitute cleaning his feet with expensive perfume, or the adulteress he saved from a stoning. Or shucking corn on the Sabbath.

It is a straw man to use human cannibalism in your argument, for the argument made by myself and others that you are taking exception to, is that the First and Greatest Law, and the Second Like Unto It, comprise the entirety of the law and supersede the Sabbath.

That means even saving the animal (property) out of the ditch. Peeling the corn to eat. Healing a cripple. Giving sight to the blind.

It is faith in the saving power of Jesus Christ’s sacrifice and resurrection that saves us from sin, hell, and damnation. It is not keeping the Sabbath or keeping the Law. Even in the Old Testament this is seen. Faith came first, then circumcision and the promises made to Abraham. Faith came first and the rules of the law came later.

The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath.

God is not the author of 100 translations

November 8, 2016

God is no deist. The same God who guided the mind, heart, and hand of the Bible prophets is VERY MUCH capable of doing the same with transcriptions and translations.

But since God is not the author of confusion, he would not proliferate more than 100 different translations in one language like we have in English (“Let ONE interpret”-First Corinthians 14).

The only translation that qualifies in English today, as measured by at many explicit Biblical tests, is the King James Bible, aka Authorized Version. There is a lot of money in Bible version copyright royalties, but beware of those who corrupt the Word of God for filthy lucre. “If they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.”

The causes of war, including WW3, are found articulated in the book of James. After MEN, with Satan’s urging, bring on the Global Socialist Order, and band together against the Almighty (Psalm 2), God will have them in derision then visit his wrath upon them.

Come now, let us reason together, saith the Lord

October 23, 2016

One of my favorite verses to quote to others, and that from the Old Testament:

“Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.”

I really like to use it in discussions about abortion, just to show any women listening or participating that the idea is not to condemn them but to get them past the things.

I also like this verse because it talks about “reasoning together”.

They want to break the bands of the Lord’s anointed

July 16, 2016

And yet you constantly find Catholic conspiracies everywhere, even
though the Catholics get so much right. I just find your little
inconsistencies… interesting.

“Catholic conspiracies everywhere”?

When I was a missionary in the Dominican Republic, some friends of our work were going to sponsor a benefit concert with our musicians in a stadium in one of the towns. Leaders from the “official religion” heard and rushed to nix it as “incompatible” with the values of the Catholic Church.

The Jesuits drive the worst of conspirators since their inception, no surprise since their founding purpose was to quash the Protestant escape from Papal dictatorship. Cut out the middleman. “Let every man work out his own salvation”. “…one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus”. — Of course this new Pope seems to be interested in cutting any connection between God and man altogether, mediated or not.

The Jesuits form groups of twelve young students at an early age, to give them a sense of apostolate, all the better for lasting indoctrinate. We met one of them. He told us they were also trained to take influential positions and careers. (I encourage born-again Christian youth the same way). One was a “community” psychologist, another had a talk show. The latter guy interviewed us.

The psychologist was shocked to learn about Creation science, because one Jesuit was a famous paleontologist.

Psalm Two talks about the perennial and recurring conspiracies of the kings of the world “against the Lord, and against his Anointed”. Satan showed the Lord “all the kingdoms of the world” in a moment of time and said they were his. Jesus did not contradict him, but quoted the first commandment of all instead.

The world’s rulers, and the people who love this world more than God, hate dedicated Bible-believing servants of God because they have a ruler that trumps all worldly leaders all their plans. This is why they are always trying to subvert belief in the Bible. It is Bible study that is the hook that robs men’s souls from the clutches of death and hell, and gives them eternal life and heaven instead.

The little devils of “the people of the prince that shall come” are OF COURSE as the Bible says ALWAYS AND EVER conspiring to “break their bands from us”. We are God’s little Lilliputians who have them tied down. That’s right, NONE DARE CALL IT CONSPIRACY, but the New World Order’s little dictators, including the bureaucrats of the new regional political structures hidden stealthily behind the fraudulent labels of “free trade agreements”, consider us believers as their worst enemies for that reason.

Globalists will have to crush Christians in the turfs they control before they can feel safe.

But some of them seem to have learned from a quote I saw one attributed to Montesquieu, to the effect that you don’t control religion by ordering it to do what you want under threat, but you “support” it, you “help” it, you buy into it. That’s why George W Bush pushed the so-called fraud “faith-based initiative”, and made so many evangelicals swoon with his answer of “Jesus” as his “favorite philosopher”. That’s why Lyndon Johnson snuck the “religious organizations” clause into the 501c(3) part of the tax code (giving the IRS power too) as if the state were supreme to religion.

Well, a few of us have awaken to reality, and a growing number of us realize that you cannot escape the fact, so there are SOME THAT DO DARE CALL IT CONSPIRACY, because that is what it is. Aided by what “Jesus knew what was in the heart of men”, when he rejected the demand of the crowd to make him king.

It is impossible to have faith unless you have the Word.

June 21, 2016

It is impossible to have faith unless you have the Word.

The Bible says that faith comes from the Word of God (Romans 10:17). That’s a basic spiritual law, as sure as what goes up comes down. So if you’re weak in faith it’s because you’re weak in the Word.

The cure for doubts is the Word. Faith comes, it grows, by hearing the Word of God. It’s not a sudden boom. It is something that is built by faithful study of God’s Word.

Faith isn’t something you work up, muster up, or polish up by your own efforts and strength. Accepting faith through His Word is a work of God’s grace. All you have to do is desire and receive it. Jesus even gives you faith to believe His Word. Jesus is the “author and finisher of our faith” (Hebrews 12:2).

Don’t neglect His Word. It is food for your soul and gives you strength for the daily battles of life. It is His Word by His Spirit in His love that makes you strong. So read it prayerfully and ask God to increase your faith, and He will. He never fails! He’ll always answer the hungry heart.

Greek for then, English for now

June 1, 2016

Whatever past estimates or surveys have found, as elusive as precision is with this, it should be obvious by now, 2016, that English is not just on its way to dominate as the language most rapidly growing in usage, and dominant in ALL usage in international forums.

Sure, French dominated for awhile in the expanding WESTERN cultural spheres, Latin before that, Greek before that. Now it is English in ALL cultural spheres, and the militantly anti-Christ pagans and atheists who now rule are trying to capture the definitions into their “Newspeak”.

I made friends with a group of air traffic controllers in Medellin Colombia at an international airport there. I’m sure that all of them around the world have to speak the technical “aviation English”, but these guys said they ALL have to learn non-hyphenated FLUENT English, so that in an emergency there is a fast common understanding. They said all international PILOTS too. For example, language fluency (lack thereof) was suggested in one recent year when there was a passenger jet that crashed in New York because it ran out of fuel.

Doctors study new medical developments in English.

The foremost ESL computer hackers –good guys and bad guys too I’m sure– are admonish by their ESL peers to learn English to become good programmers for a number of reasons.

I used to despise the idea of arrogant American tourists demanding the natives speak English to them. Nowadays my wife tells me there are Cuban patients in the assisted living home who demand the workers there speak Spanish to them. (Takes all kinds. I had a Cuban boss who rebuked a co-worker for speaking Spanish to me though I’m fluent).

NOTE that I am not KJBO because the language is English, but English just happens to be in the direction where one would look for God’s best characteristics for his perfect preserved word.

The most influential persons and groups in the world among their peers are English-speakers.

Not everyone need speak it for this to matter in the which-version topic. Just as in the times of Christ, when we all know why God used Greek through his servants to spread the WRITTEN gospel throughout the world and with most effect in diverse cultures.

Who are we to tell God he cannot do the same thing for the 20th and even more so, the 21st centuries?

How can you tell who is a genuine Christian from a fake?

May 22, 2016

God is the one who decides who is genuinely born again as Christian, but there are lots of verses telling us to watch out for them, because he expects us to be vigilant.

Bush, for example, claimed the description but lied about Iraq to get the nation into a war that killed thousands of Americans and 100s of 1000s of Iraquis. He created the “faith-based” ministries to entice gullible Christian ministries into taking it to later use against them.

One famous scholar (Montesquieu maybe?) wrote that the way that governments get religions to do what they want is not ordering them to obey, but by “helping” them. Follow the money.

“Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. ” – Matthew 7:20

In the case of Skull and Bones 41 (Bush Sr.), he was a scoffer and a Christian in his White House blew the whistle on him. With Obama and the Clintons it’s more obvious. Should be I should think to any genuine Christian at least.

There’s a verse I can’t remember right now also about how the spirit of one can recognize the Lord’s spirit in another, but I knew some people of whom it manifested. But I think that takes some time learning the word to get to that point.

A missionary couple in Colombia, for example, dining just before leaving one town, felt drawn to speak to another couple dining there, they thought it was to share the gospel. But it was another missionary couple.

In another case I heard of, a guy landed in a town in Italy but lost the address of the missionary home he was to join. Walking downtown along the street, he turned around to look at another guy who had just passed him with his wife, who also turned around, they looked at each other for a minute then approached and smiling, they knew each other though they had never met.

I also “accidentally” ran into somebody I knew in Miami in a similar situation, though less dramatically.

On the other hand, in my only encounter with a Jesuit priest, that guy had an evil and hateful spiritual aura that was thick and palpable (to me and my companion) in his presence, aimed at me and my witnessing partner of course.
